What would be really cool is if the had a cheaper option to just be able to play the games, and I'll leave the making in better hands like Thomas did.

Why the hell haven't they added mouse support to Mario Maker. That is such a no brainer.

@FishyS I’m bewildered by what to expect from Mario Maker 3. A bit like Smash Ultimate, it’s hard to guess where they go for there.

@cedarhyped I would personally love for them to expand beyond just Mario to also include Yoshi’s Island and Donkey Kong Country game styles.

Instead, I've started from scratch with SmileBASIC again, am having a ton of fun writing a new framework for future AGameAWeek games, and have already abandoned both MKWorld and DKBananza.. Oops!!

I was in the UK last week and took a punt on GBG for ￡20 from CeX. Still haven’t tried it yet but have liked what I’ve seen and read.

@Hoshiko For one thing it'd be nice to allow you to change colours of the ground/background (that would be a game-changer in what stages you could create alone), and there are sooo many enemies and items they could include that still haven't made it over... Perhaps also a Super Mario Land/Land 2 theme???

My dream would be to allow us to make the 2D levels like in Mario Odyssey. 2D stages that wrap around 3D objects, walls hiding secret areas, sections with reverse gravity, etc.

I loved the idea of Game Builder Garage but I found it too limited in certain ways and what I really wanted was some sort of “encapsulation” tool.

Too quickly the flow became a spiderweb of lines that were hard to follow. If I could build a unit within a container which hides all its innards when closed it would make navigating the main program flow a lot cleaner.
